My MMDA experience.

It's Monday morning.  I was carrying a big bag to the office.  The big bag contains two giant alcohol containers, big box of tissue paper, and all other stuff.  I carried them all, a bit paranoid of the eye infection I have.  The alcohol and tissue paper were meant for anyone and everyone  who would come and see me in my office. After coming from my office they should wash their hands with alcohol.  That is to avoid being contaminated with the eye infection I have.  You see I cannot afford to be absent from work these days.  It's hiring and loading time!

So on my way to work, I wanted to take a taxi.  I went to the area where I could easily get one.  When I got there, I tried to avoid the post that says NO LOADING AND UNLOADING ZONE.  Few meters after that post, which is supposed to be the loading and unloading zone, was an MMDA personnel.  Three taxis had passed me by.  They could not stop; they were pointing to that MMDA personnel nearby.  So I went to ask that man where the loading and the unloading area should be.  And he replied:  "Mam, kase bawal dun eh.  No loading and unloading area dun."  And I retorted, "Eh bakit po nandito kayo?  Di po ba dapat dun kayo nakatayo?"  And he answered me back in a raised voice, which irritated me.  So right straight to his face, I said:  "Wag mo akong sisigawan.  Tax ko ang sinisweldo mo."  Then he went away.

A few minutes after, an empty taxi came. I hopped in thinking how rude that MMDA personnel was.  I hope that he is the only who behaves like that among the many MMDA personnel scattered around.  Because if many of them are like that MMDA personnel at Nagtahan area near the Philippine Institute for the Deaf, boy, they badly need public service skills.

This side of the world is a therapy for me. I find solace and peace here. Very much like the feeling I have after popping tiny bubbles!

Gently pop tiny bubbles with me.
